On February 26, 1941 a group of businessmen led by Andres Soriano Sr. who was a leading industrialist at that time, incorporated Philippines Airlines. Historically known as Philippine Air Lines, it is the oldest and finest commercial airline in Asia. This airline is the flag carrier of Philippines and is head quartered at Passay City. It has hubs at Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Manila and MActan-Cebu International Airport, Cebu City.


Philippines Airlines reaches 31 destinations in Philippines and 36 destinations overseas in East Asia, Southeast Asia, Middle East, North America, Oceania and Europe. The first flight took off on March 15, 1941 with a Beechcraft Model 18 NCP-54. This flew between Manila and Baguio everyday.
